i've just purchased a pioneer vsx-d510 a/v receiver and there is no code for the tape monitor function (i find this curious as every other function can be controlled by the remote). would anyone know of an ir code for this feature? (i called pioneer and a rep told me that there wasn't but he was also surprised to learn that satellite receivers have digital co-ax and optical audio outputs, so i'm not sure if he knew what he was talking about - go figure???) i have a sony rm-av2100 remote and the ability to produce most any ir signal.

thank you in advance!

Do you have a one-for-all remote? If
you do, under amp code 013, advanced
code for tape-monitor is 248. I hope
I could help.

i'm not sure exactly what you're telling me (but i certainly appreciate your response)... i show 013 as a sherwood amp code(in the separate code book with the rm-av2100 manual i only have 3 pioneer codes - 032, 086 and 091). could you explain this to me as well as explain the 248 tape monitor code?

The codes I gave are for a "ONE-FOR-ALL'
remote. It's only remote with codes
for individual features(play,ch up,etc.)
You said you had the ability to produce
most any ir signal. Around here it's
the use of a ofa remote. The av2100 is
a learning remote, teach it from the
original Pioneer remote.

I have the ofa 9800, but all you need is
cheap one from walmart. Its the 6012w,
it costs $15. Take a look at the ofa
forum on this site.

Change that. don't try any of the new
crop of ofa remotes. It seems they
changed the codes for the pioneer so
it won't except advanced codes. So go
to radio shack, get models 15-2104,
2103, and 2102. Or any older ofa remote.
