Does anyone know if this remote works w/ a Bose system?

Why not? If you have your original remote you can learn all the codes into your Sony - i had a cable decoder which was not mentioned in the manual and i manage to teach my Sony all the commands!

The Bose remotes are RF, not IR, so it wont work.

1) depends on the Bose some of their newer stuff uses both RF and IR
2) Bluedo has a device that can be used with most Bose stuff. It is an IR to RF gateway (i.e. gets an IR command and sends out a Bose RF command). But as far as I know it does not conme with a remote (so there is no way of teaching the commands to your 900

Thanks for all the feedback. I don't know if my bose remote is IR, but I know it is RF. I may just pick up the VL-900 and give it a shot. If it works w/ everything else I'll be happy.

Only the 28 and the 35 comes with built-in IR capabilities.
