I just bought the RMVL900 Remote and have benen able to
program al of my components, like the

Minidisc
CD
Technics Amp
Radio Shack VCR
Panasonic DVD.

The only one I cannot seem to find a code for is my CABLE BOX General Instrument DCT-2000.
Does anyone know how to do this.
I have called Sony Support and they cant seem to help.
Have tried all of the codes they specify for this
001-008,018 and 043.

I bought the RCA latest touch screen remote, and was able to program the cable box, but not the amp.
After reading many of your comments, I relaized the problems with this learning remote and went for the
rmvl-900.
Any help would be Much Appreciated
Paul S.

Be sure to change you cbl/sat to cable only. See page 32 in the manual. (Press Set and Cbl/sat. Then hold Forward Play arrow and numeral 9 at the same time.) This assigns cable to the cbl button!

My General Instrument box runs with a Tocom remote. (But the remote has no brand name on it.) Try the Tocom codes. (016, 017)

I HAVE A CABLE BOX BY MOTOROLA WITH THE SAME MODEL NUMBER "DCT-2000." THAT MAY ALSO BE AN AVENUE FOR YOU TO TRY. I DID, HOWEVER, HAVE TO LEARN SOME SPECIFIC COMMANDS FROM THE US ELECTRONICS REMOTE THE CABLE COMPANY GAVE ME WITH THE BOX BECAUSE THE PREPROGRAMMED CODE WAS VERY BASIC AND DIDN'T HAVE ALL THE FUNCTIONS I DESIRED. GOOD LUCK.
