My vcr has separate buttons to do a timed vcr recording.
You set start time, stop time, date, channel, ep/sp mode, ok to save program, and lastly hit the timer button.
The only recording function I get on my preprog. av2100 for the vcr is the press rec and play buttons at the same time to record. Not much use when I want to record something while I am at work.
Anyone know how to setup a timed vcr record session ?
Thanks

Are the "start time, stop time, date, channel, ep/sp mode, ok to save program" etc buttons on the remote control or the VCR itself? If the VCR does not give you an option to set timer functions remotely, then I don't see how you can expect the 2100 to have this feature.

If you are able to program your VCR's timer with the remote that came with it, I would recommend that you "custom learn" those commands into the VCR screen of the 2100, or into spare positions on another presently unused Component Screen.

I suspect that he's talking about a JVC VCR (or at least something similar to it). You'll need to learn those commands, as Lee recommends, and probably under an unused device.

Thanks to all who replied. I "learned" it and everything works great. Got a new TV and A/V reciever coming soon so I am sure the experience was
worth it :)
I guess my only complaint about the av2100 is that I can't create custom labels for the buttons.
