I purchased an air conditioner that has a remote control. I decided to teach the commands for this a/c to the MD/Dat position on the 2100. I deleted all the extraneous labels for keys that were not being used, but can't seem to be able to DELETE the REC position in the MD/Dat screen. I held COMMANDER OFF and MD/Dat, then pressed and held RESET while I pressed REC. It would not clear the key from the screen. Any ideas?

Try holding RESET + REC + PLAY.

Dear Daniel,
I didn't think of that, but I am sure that would solve the problem. However, (and I need your help on this), I already learned a command for the air conditioner to the PLAY button. There is no signal coming from the REC button at this time. How can I revert the PLAY button back to being a function of the MD/Sat (preset) component, so that I might delete the REC/PLAY combination?
Thanks, Lee

That shouldn't be a problem. As all buttons flash in learning mode, you should not have a problem hitting REC + PLAY.
If there's no signal on the REC button, then it's been used as the REC+PLAY double-key combo (for safety with the preprogrammed commands, REC by itself does not send out a command).
