I just bought the RM 2100 and was wondering if anyone could tell me if this will be button for button with the remote for my Motorola digital cable box?

Well, if you have one the best bet would be to try. :-) However, if things aren't where you want them you can learn those commands from the original remote.

Mike, I have a Motorola Digital Cable box. It is not button-to-button. I did a 'search' for the code. It turns out to be '001'. Except the Power and channel number buttons nothing else works. I had to 'learn' each one. But is very easy. I love this remote. This site is great, very helpful.

I just got the Sony Remote for Father's day. I am returning it for the pronto! It is way to clunky and big. It was easy to learn and I was able to totally program my Motorola Dig Cable box. I just think for the amount of cash i have in my audio and home theater system, the Pronto is worth the extra 2 bills. It also looks better and is customizable.

I have just got the Sony working with the Motorola Digital Cable box. The only problem is getting the system to turn on from the macro button. Even at the slowest setting it refuses to turn on, but when the remote is in "Normal" mode it works fine.
Any ideas greatfully recived

Paul, The Macro that I programmed turns my Sony TV, Sony VCR, Yamaha receiver and Motorola Digital Cable box ON. I did not have a problem programming it and I did not have to change any setting. Please email me. I can try to help you. Thanks Thenraja

Paul:
I have the exact same problem...It absolutley refuses to turn the Motorola on as part of a macro.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I put the Motorola onto the 'TV' hard button, because the cbl/sat is already used for my satellite receiver.
idea?
