My new MX-500 won't learn B&O codes. As near as I can tell without having bought it yet, the Sony AV2100 should--it appears that the B&O is not pre-programmed in the codes, but that the Sony will learn high frequency codes unlike the MX-500. Does anyone know if it is true that the AV2100 should be able to control a B&O A/V 7000 either directly or by learning from a BEO4?

As far as I know it should work... have you tried different learning techniques?
