Any ideas on how to programm the remote to discretly turn this set on and off?
Also, how do you go directly to a video source (i.e. VIDEO 1, VIDEO 5, etc.)?
Thanks in advance!

I have already recorded over those (I have had the remote for a while now and I am just now getting into the real complicated stuff)
Also, what about the changing of the video inputs?
Thanks!

Going directly to a video input is done by holding down the INPUT button and pressing a number from 1 to whatever the max input is on your set. Codes above "3" are not guaranteed to work. "0" is the TV tuner.
When in macro programming mode you should be presented with both ON and OFF buttons (top right and left) on the LCD.

How do you program for holding down 2 buttons at the same time?
Hey Daniel, do you have an HS10?

In a macro you just do it, the remote will pick it up. :-) Nope, I don't have an HS10, but Sony sets are all similar in this regard.

Cool, all of that works now - now my macros are ALOT faster and shorter...
Question for you...
I have a Sony VCR and when I try to use the Power Off button it works as a toggle Off/On - not discrete...but there is also a power on which IS discrete...only on...any ideas?
Also, how would i go about finding the discrete on/off for my RCA DVD player?
Thanks for all of your help!

Not sure about the power off thing. The default off macro includes two relevant codes -- SYSTEM OFF and VCR OFF. Technically, the VCR should only turn off with those codes. I haven't heard of one that turns on.
As for your RCA player, you won't be able to find such codes unless you have another remote with them to learn from.
