Is there a way to reset the AV-2100 to its factory defaults? I have gotten a new cable box and cant input the new code for it. Any help would be appreciated.

((SINCE THIS IS CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION, WE ARE NOW GOING TO HAVE TO ELIMINATE YOU))

Resetting the remote to factory default settings:

Here are the undocumented steps to reset the RM-AV2100 – or RM-AV2000 – back to its factory default settings:

1.Remove at least one battery from the remote. In case of the RM-AV2000, remove the bottom battery.

2.While holding the [VOLUME-] and [CHANNEL-] buttons, replace the batteries.

3.When "LEARN" and "1" appear on the LCD, stop holding [VOLUME-] and [CHANNEL-].

4.The "IR SENDING" graphic appears at the top of the screen. Press any hard button, and the remote is reset.

Lee, thank you very much. I have been unable to program my av-2100, for my sony dvd player. One of my daughters had done something to it,and when I tried to set it for my dvd player, dvd would stay solid and vcr1 would be flashing right next to it. I have been on the phone with sony tech three times. They were unable to help.
THANKS AGAIN
Pat

Dear Pat,
I defer the thanks to Daniel Tonks. That information appears at the link he has listed above. I still find it very interesting and somewhat suspicious that Sony did not find the need to include this in their owners/operators manual.

Can anyone find the hidden button on the AV-2100 that feeds and walks our new puppy? :->
