If there a way to disable a Component Function Key on the RM-AV2100. i.e. when say you are on the AMP Component Function Key, and you press Deck A/B, I have nothing on theat input on my Receiver, and hence would like the function to be unavailable to the remotes user.

I assume you mean on the LCD?
To hide unused LCD keys: While holding [COMMANDER OFF], press the Component Select button you wish to learn to. "LEARN" appears and all keys will flash. Press and hold [RESET] and the key you would like to hide until it only flashes every other time.
