My dog ate my remote (really). It was for my Proscan VCR (PSVR61). I purchased an RCA compatable remote that listed Proscan as one of the units and it recognized it but the functionality was limited. I could get it to change channels but it wouldn't pull up the VCR's Menu. Without being able to access the Menu on the VCR (on screen programming) I can't set the time, set the record feature and numerous other things.
I now have the Sony RM-AV2100 and have tried all the codes for RCA and Proscan. No luck. Is there a way to get this component to respond to the Sony or any other remote?
Any help is appreciated. Bob

Sony's built-in database is limited at times... though Proscan usually works with RCA codes.
