i am considering buying the sony tivo unit (not the one with the directv tuner built in). has anyone used the RMAV2100 for a tivo? i noticed that the tivo remote has several unique buttons (ie thumbs up and down) that the 2100 doesn't have an LCD label for. any advice?

Folks have certainly used it; you just have to decide what goes where.

I am using the 2100 on my Tivo, and it works great. I don't use the thumbs buttons, so I didn't need to worry about them. I copied the DVD presets to the DSP button. I have gone in and added a few commands and changed some of the button listings, and it works great. Even my wife understands it all.
