I got the AV2000 for my wife for Christmas. That same day my Pioneer Elite VSX-26TX died right after I finished programming the AV2000. I thought "That Sucks." And had the Pioneer repaired. I never thought it could've been my remote. Then when my amp was fixed and in perfect working order (I tested ALL of the manual buttons and dials etc.) we watched a movie and all was fine. Then I used the AV2000 and the amp died again. I don't know how, but somehow the infra-red signal from the Sony is sending a bad command or something to the Pioneer and killing the Mode Select chip and all of the Audio Outs. Has anyone else ever had this problem? My Pioneer repair shop is testing this for me now and I'll post a response when they figure out what's going on.

Maybe Sony has figured out how to send a "kill" command into the Pioneer to gain more market share. An infrared code with a little virus?
How do you make a little "tounge-in-cheek" face?
