I just received my RM AV2100 today and was quickly disappointed to find out that the Light Button does not function properly.
If I have the remote ON and I press the Light Button, the remote turns OFF. Also, to adjust the settings I tried to press it when I had the Commander OFF putton pressed and nothing happened.
Anybody else have this problem with their remote the first time using it? Is it a calibration problem? Otherwise I have to send it back and exchange it for a new one....
Thanks for any input!!

That shouldn't happen. You might have a defected remote. I've never had that problem with mine.
Actually, I haven't had any problems with mine.
I would try some new batteries, if that doesn't work then exchange for a new one

I had the same problem when I first got my 2100. After changing the batteries it worked fine.

Yup, had that same thing when the batteries for my RM-AV2100 got low. The backlight would flicker on then the whole remote would shut off. Didn't have that ever with the RM-AV2000 (which had dedicated backlight batteries).

The light's not bright enough. Perhaps this #^*$ thing just needs an A.C. power cord!

ts: The light on mine is more than bright enough. I even run mine on the lower setting. New batteries don't help?
