i just bought a sony vcr and it will not turn on or off with the system on or off buttons like the fest of all my sony components. thank you. you know the preprogrammed one touch buttons which turns everything on or off with the push of one button

Does it work with the preprogrammed VCR code set? How old? What model?

yes it is brand new it works fine power on off through the vcr button just not the number 3 system on off like everything else wonder why it wont turn on with all the other components
