I picked this up last night and entered all the codes that I needed. The remote not only works well but has a distinctive cool factor.
One thing about it that made me say "oh" was the brightness of the screen. I had read the review on this site and Daniel mentioned that the screen can be set to dim or very bright. When I set mine up it changes from dim to a little better then dim. It certainly isn't what I’d very bright. I installed new batteries when I bought it, so I doubt that's the problem. I've read of people saying that they can hear a whine sound coming from the remote when they have the brightness set to high. I had mine right next to my ear but couldn't hear and sound from the remote.
Is it possible that I have a faulty one? Can anyone else that has this remote relate to this problem?
Thanks Frank

Or perhaps your batteries are bad? The backlight should be quite bright.

Ok, I'll try new, new batteries.
