Does anyone know the Frequency of the Sony two way remote?

I have sen it mentioned in passing as being 455kHz but cannot confirm this.

If you find out for sure, please let everyone know. Also I would like to know what format the messages are in - standard SIRCS, but for the frequency, I hope!

From the remote to the receiver is normal 40kHz, but I'm not sure what it is back from the receiver.

I would expect that most of the buttons (e.g. Play, Pause,...) would be sent as normal 40kHz SIRCS commands (either Sony 12, 15 or 20 bit signals).

However, what frequency are the following "commands" sent at for a CD changer:

Play a Disc (from the scrollable list)
Pick a Artist (from the scrollable list)
Pick a Group (from the scrollable list)

There are probably equivalent examples for the two-way remotes for the Amps.

If you could let me know what format these IR commands are in I would be gratefull.

I believe these commands are "different", because these will be passed on down the s-link wire using the Control A1 protocol. e.g. Send the IR to a Sony Amp, it should be passed along the S-Link Control A1 wire to the CD Changer.
