I just got my new RM-AV 2100 remote. It is great. Took maybe an hour to program. Simple and easy. Anyway one reason I wanted this thing is becuase for one I have too many damn remotes. Two it looks cool and finally my Sony CDP-C345 Cd Player remote was broken. Well none of the codes for the Sony CD players work with it. This is strange seeing how it is a Sony remote. If anyone has some ideas send them along. Thanks.

Only the Power button will not work! I can not make it learn because my original remote to the cd player is broke! Help if you can!

Did your original remote have a power button? I ask because many Sony CD players (single disc and carousel) have physical, mechanical power switches.

I have one of those too. Strange to have an intricate CD remote with no power control, makes you feel kind of helpless :-)
Not a lot you can do, except plug the power cord of the CD-player into a receiver outlet to sub-control it. I imagine that's the reasoning behind leaving off a remote power button, can't think of any other...

Does seem strange. I mean single-disc DVD players have power buttons...
