I'm eagerly awaiting delivery of my 2100T. I'm a newcomer to this (great!) website. I was wondering if I would be able to program the remote to duplicate the command for the 'display' button on the TV remote each time I change channel, then wait about 2 seconds before duplicating the 'display' button again. This would then allow me to view the details of the currently broadcast programme each time I change channels, them removing the display.
Hope you can help
Dave

Hmm, it depends. By-the-book, no. However, when teaching it may just very well be possible to come up with something, but a 2 second delay may be too much.

You see, the AV2100 has an extra-long learning buffer. Unlike any other remote controls on the market, it's possible to "teach" a short macro during the learning process, simply by punching in the commands you want with no delay in-between. So, to get what you want, you MAY be able to do:

What's the 2100T? (An updated 2100, I hope.)

If the 2100T is different than the current 2100, do you think the ""T" might mean "Timers".

Maybe that is why the 2100 has been so easy to find at a new low price.

This is just a guess.

The 'T' is a designation for the European model (I'm in the UK), some of the
lcd 'keys' are different- they have 'teletext' labels on them.

...And that's the only difference. :-)

Damn! I figured that once the feeding frenzy over the T-shirts (certainly well worth the price of a 2100 remote, Daniel!!!) that Sony might have cleared enough to introduce an updated 2200 model, but no such luck.

Perhaps if we started to spread the rumour that Sony is about to market a 2200, then sales of the 2100 would fall like a rock and Sony would be moved to make the rumour a reality .

Better to be pro-active than reactive!
