Hey I bought the STR-DE845 yesterday from Sears. Really excited with the cool remote, the RM-DX350. The remote never worked with the receiver. After many hours on the next I figured out that I did not receive the correct remote, what I need is the RM-LJ304 remote and guess what??? Sears will not open a box and get one for me. Does anyone know what the DX-350 goes to....... Can anyone send me the manual for that remote.

Thank you for your support.

Looks like it goes with a CDP-CX350 CD changer.

Thanks Daniel, how would I go about getting it out of that mode and being able to use it with my DE845 receiver.

Uh, the thing is it's designed to control a CD changer. What makes you think it's even capable of controlling a receiver?

Well anything is possible and it can be reprogramed but the cost is to expensive.

If it's a new receiver, why not just get the correct remote from Sony? And if it's a "demo model", chances are there's a CD changer with the wront remote as well.

Yea im in the proccess of getting that done but thru the store. Sony is being a pain in the *** about it. Seems more is at stake than just sending a remote. The store is being weird about it because it means someone took it from the store while it was in the back. Taped the box up and everything. I did not even get the insturciton for the remote.

Hello, The post you made (back in 2001) was correct, the remote you received
isn't correct (and won't work with even "other" cd changers), I had the
same trouble with Sears & Sony....so I had to manually operate "my 300
CD changer" #CDP-CX350...what a pain. By "any chance" do you still
have the Sony #RM-DX350 remote ? While it would/could be easier to
operate the cd changer...it never was worth the price they wanted. I
would be interested in how much you would want, if still available?
