Is this low cost Sony Remote Going to be able to do the following:
1)Control my two DSS Satellite Receivers (1 Sony, 1 RCA) and do so with the ease of the remotes that came with the receivers like having a one touch to the guides and scrolling and picking channels from the guides?
2) Control two seperate TV's and also PIP.
3) Control My VCR
4) Control my 5 Disc CD
5) Control my Sony Home Theatre Receiver
6) Control future addition of DVD
My biggest concern is that it does all this and that my wife can look at it know what does what. Can I lable the buttoms. She is not technologically savy so I need something simple.
Thanks for your help!

I can speak to #s 2-6. The answer to all of these questions is yes. (I don't have satellite, but it handles my digital cable just fine.)
There are some minor drawbacks.
You cannot label the buttons because as you switch from DVD to Amp to TV, the individual buttons change function. If you buy it, you need to get used to hitting "TV" before "volume" or "channel" or the volume and channel will change on the last component chosen.
You can program it for ease of use, as the "Learn" function is very easy to use.
Hope this helps. G

Mostly.
If your DVD and VCR are like mine, there will be more features on the original remote than there are programmable key on the VL900. It simply is not possible to program all of the functions on one component ( I spread them to two components) There may also be combo-type keys that are not learnable.
That said, this is the most programmable low-cost remote out there. Im willing to bet that you can get about 95% of the functionality that you need. If you can't, your alternatives are MUCH more expensive.

One correction to Griggi's "volume problem".....you can lock in volume control so that mo matter what function your on, volume controls only one source, such as "amp". Great Remote!

For even more fine tuning, you can simply learn the volume commands you want exactly where you want.
