Hi all has anyone tried using the light funtion on the sony remote as the first macro step in your series of commands.and if that will not work can you teach another learning remote to learn the sony light command then tranfer it back to the sony so that every time you hit a component funtion the light will come on first.

Those ideas may work, but it doesn't quite get to the heart of the backlight problem. When the light switch-off is most annoying is mainly when I'm browsing digital cable menus, already fairly deep in touch-screen activities...

The Light button isn't a command button, so it isn't "programmable" in a macro.
