I am still curious, has anyone ever seen or heard of this remote; RM-J930 I've only seen it in my manual as optional. Thanks to Daniel and Guy for their previous help. I would purchase the RM-J801 or RM-J802 they seem close to this model with their available options.

Why can't you buy this from Sony parts?

That's one of the first place I tried, they don't have it but is in the manual as being optional. My understanding is that in the European models (U.K. etc.)this remote comes with the deck(TC-WA9ES).I think they have it in the Sony U.K. I tried to get it there but they refused to ship to the U.S. I found out there is quite a difference in the items and products Sony in different countries carry. If you contact them they refer you to your local branch.

What hurts too is there is a photo of this remote in the manual and you can see some of the keys with functions that are maybe not critical but important to a serious Sony ES collector such as myself.

This Deck has 6 motors 2 are there to only open and close the doors on deck A and deck B the balance seems similar to the CCF codes you posted on 2/27/2001. This remote seems to control the deck totally, opening and closing both doors etc.

I am gonna try and E-Mail the Sony U.K. web site and a few of the local audio stores in the U.K.

Ah, yes, the ES models have motorized doors. Alas mine doesn't, but chances are if I had such a model I could find the codes.

I'd be interested in this remote, too. Wilson, my manual doesn't show the full photo of the remote. And I have no idea why they made it unavailable with the US model :(

Well, there are some Pronto utilities (or combinations of utilities) that'll generate all function codes for a given device. That's how I located the new codes for my deck.

Daniel I would mail my Pronto to you to programme these codes. I can do a lot electronically but adding these codes to the Pronto I am still lost. I can programme it and add new infrared codes through learning, but the the second stage and all the other stages you guys have graduated to. I am still not there.
