This Remote Control is optional in my manual to go with my TC-WA9ES top of the line Sony Tape Deck. Someone Pleeeeeaaaase tell me where I can get the Remote to purchase or possible learn the signals from the original remote. I would paaayy for whatever option I can get my hands on. Thanks for any response.

The Sony RM-AV2100 and Sony RM-VL900 include codes for your tape deck. Be forewarned though: only basic commands are available (only transport, no other functions -- it's not a limitation of the remote, it's simply all Sony bothered to do).

Mr. Tonks I've tried every pre-programmed brand of tape decks that came in the Pronto TSU-2000 until I fell into a trance. The Home Producer 8 feared no better. The Sony Remotes have the least options Whyyyyyyeeee I cannot figure. The mysterious optional Remote (RM-J930) does every thing on this deck except loading the cassettes in the Tape Wells. Thanks for entertaining my wrath ($740.00 price tag without the proper remote)guys.

Sorry... the only source of tape deck commands I have is the RM-AV2100 or other Pronto CCFs, and they all only include basic functions.

Well, I did some work with the Pronto and generated the following commands for my TC-WE625 (not a very advanced model). Ones marked with * are new to me:
DECK A: Rewind Play Reverse Play Forward Fast Forward Pause Stop * Rewind Then Play * Fast Forward Then Play * Counter Memory * Counter Reset * Record Reverse * Record Forward * Record Mute Record Pause
DECK B: Rewind Play Reverse Play Forward Fast Forward Pause Stop * Rewind Then Play * Fast Forward Then Play * Counter Memory * Counter Reset * Record Reverse * Record Forward * Record Mute Record Pause
RMS: * RMS/Start * Keypad >10 * Keypad 0 * Keypad 1 * Keypad 2 * Keypad 3 * Keypad 4 * Keypad 5 * Keypad 6 * Keypad 7 * Keypad 8 * Keypad 9 * RMS Clear * RMS Front * RMS Back * RMS Up * RMS Down

Being a newbie (albeit one who knows how to read before he posts ), I've been scouring around looking for Sony's tape deck codes, and had given up hope on finding anything but the basic transport codes and the few RMS codes that are programmed into Sony's RM-LJ304 (only the Keypad and RMS/Start codes at that). I was just about to post my find of *those* when lo, and behold, Daniel pulls *this* rabbit out of his hat! Bravo, Daniel! (And let's have them codes posted!!! )

They do, indeed, work perfectly on my Sony TC-WE805S... Amazing work!! I've been looking for "hidden" remote codes for Sony's equipment for years; ESPECIALLY on the cassette decks... and these last few days of scouring the forums and the other material here has been a miracle! Thanks again, Daniel!
