I'm hoping someone can help me...
I have a Sony RM-PP402, a Quasar TV, Hughes DirecTV receiver, and a Samsung DVD 711. The bad news is the 402 will not control anything other than my Sony A/V receiver. I tried several (around 80 codes) to no avail. Does anyone out there know of a place for codes that might work one or all of these components?

I have a 401 (i know, i know, it's just for starters) it has all the functions i need, but unfortunatly it doesnt seem to want to be programmed for my Toshiba components, after many unsuccesful attempts, all i managed on doing is UN programming my Sony CD player.
I also lost the manual with the proper procedure to program the codes, as well as the code #'s. Can anyone possibly give me some suggestions? Should i just go out and buy another universal remote even though this one has all the buttons i need?

Hrm, while the RM-PP402 is a pretty crappy remote the only things I havent been able to get it to control is my DVD player (which is a Philips and they dont list codes for it in the manual) and my Dishplayer (same problem). But it controls my VCR, Receiver (I would hope so since it came with it ;) ), CD Changer and TV just fine.

Where can I download the program codes for the
rm-pp402 remote control. I cannot get it to work with
my sony tape deck.

What I want to know, is if there's some way to *search* for a code (for devices not listed). Anybody know of a way to do this?

I know the remote is kind of lack-luster, but it's simple and has all the specific buttons for the receiver (I'm a home theater nut who always has to have the receiver settings *perfect*).
Anyway, I'll post codes from the manual if anybody need them.

I have the DE835 AV and the 402 remote. Although I don't like the flip top or the green print on the buttons, I like the way it functions (press DVD on the remote and it selects DVD input on the receiver) and it does a pretty good job of controlling the other components. I too have the manual and can reply to email requests for codes. Since I'm changing to DishPlayer 7200 from the Sony SAT B2, I may need a new remote as the DishPlayer is not listed in the manual. Any suggestions ?

This is a Sony support page. Scroll half way down to find IR codes for lots of equipment.

They don't list Hughes satellite receivers, however, so I'm replacing my 402 with a RM-VL900. $50 (including shipping) at ShoppingMatrix.TV; $60 (not including tax) at Best Buy.

Wayne, Let me know if you like VL 900. I recently switched to Dish Network and apparently the 402 has no codes for the Dishplayer.
