I'm having trouble also. Did you ever find out the correct codes?

I was able to get th RM-AV2100 to work with my VR-407. However, I had to use the learn function for most of the keys. A minor inconvenience...

I probably have the first dolby digital home theater receiver Kenwood came out with. It is the KRV-990D. Does the Sony RMAV-2100 able to control this receiver? I have tried a number of remotes with no result.

I was able to get the RM-VL900 to work with my Kenwood VR-407. I plugged in one of the codes on the green sheet. This turned the receiver off/on, and the only buttons that worked were the channell up/down (in tuner mode), volume, Tuner and CD in the Video section.

I was able to completely learn the Video section (Video1,Video2, Video3, Tuner, CD/DVD/, PHONO, AUX, etc). I was able to program all of the input buttons EXCEPT the Digital/Analog input button. I cant figure out how to get the original remote to transmit these... so I cant learn it.

This is a great remote. I was able to get everything I have programmed:

Sony TV (straight replacement), JVC VCR, Panasonic DVD,
Sima switcher, Kenwood VR-407 AV receiver.

Recently I purchased the AV2100. I also own a Kenwood VR-357. The preset codes do not cover the input function from the receiver. The button from the Kenwood receiver cycles the input options. Is there a way to program the remote to cycle the inputs or am I stuck because of the 2-way comm. feature?

Mark, I have the VR-2309 Kenwood receiver, so this might not apply to you, but I'd give it a shot.
The original remote (OR) sends out distinct codes for each input on the receiver, even though it uses one button to toggle. For example, if I want to change to "DVD" input, I click twice on the OR, and the second transmission is the distinct DVD-input signal.
To teach the AV2100, I just followed the usual procedure, but covered the first click on the OR toggle button with my hand, and taught the AV2100 only the second signal. Now I have a distinct button for DVD on the AV2100, even though the OR has a toggle button.

Maybe this will work for you too.

YES! YES! It worked! Thanks a lot! Now back to the couch for good..... : - ) If I could only get the AV-2100 to get me beer out of the fridge.

Well, I'm sure you could find SOMETHING that the AV2100 could control to go get you a beer. :-)

No offense meant, but you will likely get better results with a fresh, new thread. Go to the bottom of the main 2100 forum page and click on "New Thread" and ask your questions.

Or, often, a little searching will turn up some answers, also. That's another technique that works well here. Especially the question about where to buy one, there are several recent posts on that.

Hello everyone. I have a Kenwood VR-2080 and I would like to buy the RM-VL900 to control my home theater and my receiver. I know that my receiver uses a very high IR signal, I think it's 500khz. Would some one here know if the remote in question in work with my receiver. I would really appreciate it because I'm getting sick and tired of using the remote that came with the receiver. If some one could e-mail me that would be best. Take care and thanks for any help ahead of time.

From reading this thread, it seems the answer is it should work. Some Kenwood devices operate at 455kHz, and the Sony is designed to work with that.
