I have searched and searched, but I cannot find the code for Westinghouse LCD/DVD Model #SK-32H590D for a Comcast HD- DVR remote. I have tried the 991, push power tv and power button and have not hit the code.

Can anybody please help me and post the 4 digit remote code.

Thanks in advance.

If it has dvd codes, try codesearching them instead of tv codes.

I have THE answer!!!!

First of all, the Comcast book is WRONG...it gives 4 digit codes for each device BUT the Comcast remote REQUIRES 5 digits!!

If you have a 4 digit code...just ADD a "1" in front of the 4 digits to make it 5 and it works for me.

HERE IS THE WESTINGHOUSE LCD CODE ANSWER:
10000

If it does not work, remember you need 5 digits as I said above. Comcast has crap documentation to help consumers!

ENJOY! :)

Comcast has 4 digit Remotes and 5 Digit remotes. The only way to tell, other than entering codes, is to look at the center button labeled "OK / Select." If it is Red, it is a 5 digit remote. If it is Grey, it is a 4 digit. I have found the 5 digit remotes have better support for new devices like combos and bluray players. Which remote do you have?

For the four digit remote (grey ok button) use 0000.

I HAVE THE ANSWER! I have successfully done it! IT WORKS! FIRMWARE UPDATE NEEDED! read on.......

First. Many westinghouse tv's manufactured before 1/11/11 MUST have a "firmware update" if you wish to have them work with the newer Comcast remote "3" series, and Direct TV remotes. All you will need to make this happen is: a few minutes, a portable memory USB key/device, and a comuter.

1. Call WestingHouse Digital @ 1-800-701-0680 press #1 for tech support

2. Tell tech you are having problems programing tv to your universal remote

3. Tech will ask you for the: "version # and serial #" on back of tv so correct firmware update can be sent

4. Tech will email you instructions AND firmware update for tv

5. On a BLANK USB portable memory key (Also known as a thumb drive) follow email instructions and download firmware update, and print instructions for install.

6. Shut off tv, plug in memory key to tv (located in the back), turn tv on, and firmware automatically installs to tv (in my case, it took less than 1 minute) and then tv automatically shut off after install. Then remove memory key and turn on tv again.

7. Get out remote instructions ( I am using a comcast "3"series remote with the red "ok/select" button. Note: even after the firmware update, my comcast remote DID NOT respond to the comcast codes of: 10885, 10889, 10890, 11282, or 11577 (but depending upon the westinghouse LCD tv you have I would still try them first) The firmware update DID ALLOW ME TO PROGRAM MY REMOTE CONTROL through the Comcast "searching for your code" option, which before the firmware update had not been successful. (I own the 40" VR-4085df LCD)

8. program to to Comcast "3" remote using the "searching for your code" option

8a. turn on tv

8b. press "tv" on remote, then press & hold "set-up" until tv light flashes 2x

8c. Enter 9-9-1 "tv button blinks twice"

8d. Press and release the "1" digit. "tv blinks twice"

8e. Press and HOLD remote "power" button while also pressing the "channel" up button SLOWLY, until the tv shuts off.

8f. Immediately after tv shuts off, release all buttons and press the "set-up" button. The tv button on remote will blink 2x.

8g. Sit back and enjoy your tv now linked to your comcast remote.

I have the same TV & received the firmware update via email yesterday. My file was called AllCompBase.bin it's a 2.8m file. I loaded it to my formatted thumb drive and verified it was there. I turned off the TV and plugged the drive in the usb port. When I turned the TV back on nothing happened. I tried this several times. I called support back and the guy told me "maybe your Comcast remote is faulty". How in the hell could that have anything to do with this. Anyway he claims he's sending me a thumb drive with the upgrade pre-loaded. I cant see how this will make any difference but I guess I have to wait it out..........

Hello, I too had the same problem, however unfortunately none of the above suggestions helped me. I went to the Westinghouse website and found there were no firmware updates for my TV. I called tech support which was option # 3 and explained my problem and the tech replied “try all Sony and Samsung pass codes” and I was able to find one that worked, which was 10178. Oh yeah, I have Comcast and the remote is the 3 series with the red ok/select button…..hopefully this helps someone…good luck!

Help! I bought a Westinghouse 24" LD-2480 on eBay without a remote control which I can't program for off-air tuning since doing so requires pressing an "enter" button, but this TV doesn't have one and I cannot execute the "enter" function using any of the other panel buttons, nor can I execute it by depressing chan up and chan down or vol up and vol down at the same time.

I have a silver Comcast remote with a red select/GO button and if I use code 10812 it does everything EXCEPT enter. When I press select/OK, which is ordinarily the key used to "enter", it responds by sending a dedicated Comcast code, as the "cable" light comes on when I do so..

I tried all the other codes for Comcast remotes that were recommened in the Bryan Hauer blog, which says: Most likely code: 10812 Others to try: 10060, 10702, 10766, 11903, 11060, 10587, 10814, 10650, 10178, 10030, 10386, 10842, 11993, 11755 but none work, and I suspect that none will since I think that Comcast may prefer that their customer's use of their "select/OK" button be dedicated exclusively to their own proprietary box.

I have the GE-4 that Home Depot sells (RC24991-C 1051), and I tried all the Westinghouse and White Westinghouse codes listed on this page [Link: jascoproducts.com] but none worked at all

I also have an AccessHD Universal remote, and the following codes Don't work:
10885
10889
10890
11282
11577

I'd really like to be able to get this TV working because it is by far the lightest weight 24" TV I have seen, and I'd like it to become my test TV that I lug around to jobsites where I service broadcast master antenna systems in multi-family dwellings. I have found a programmed replacement remote for sale for $40, but I'd like to do better than that.

I just capitulated to the pressure of my immediate needs and bought what looks like an original replacement from https://westinghousespareparts.worldsecuresystems.com

for $20 plus $8.68 ground shipping, but I'd still like to be able to program some of my universal remotes as back-ups.

TV 10812 probably has the correct IR signal for Enter programmed to the OK/Select button.  However, the Comcast and Access remotes are intended to control a cable system, so even in TV mode, the remote sends the digit, ch+/- and Enter signals to the set top  box.

There are two ways to defeat this.
1) Turn off Channel Lock.  See the 9XX comand for this.

or

2) Assign an EFC for the Enter signal to the TV device mode.
1) Press TV
2) Press Setup until 2 blinks
3) Enter 994 (2 blinks)
4) Tap Setup (don't hold it)
5) Enter 00069
6) Press OK/Select
The remote should blink twice, and the OK button should work in the TV mode.

Use 1) unless you're really going to use the remote with a cable box.
