We just launched this new set of pages that may be of interest to readers of this forum. The following URL will take you to our list of DMA's (Market Areas). Click your market area to get to the mapping. All data comes from the FCC database.

If your are registered with the site, and have entered your address on your profile, it will also show your home location along with distance and azimuth (bearing) information to assist with antenna alignment.

Enjoy,

Okay, this is cute.

I'm not registered so I have not seen any of that aspect of it.

Please explain in glorious capitalistic terms what this site does for you, what it does for installers, what it does for viewers, and what it does for the stations, especially since www.antennaweb has been offering detailed location and azimuth information for years without requiring any kind of registration or sharing of an email address to get that information.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I was a little disappointed with PAX station that when you clicked on it it said it serves the Raleigh/Durham area here in NC. I found it hard to believe since it is well over 50 miles from Raleigh. I tried the channel when I got home and got nothing. This is not the web pages fault it is the text found at the stations site that I was linked to. And of course my need for a roof mounted 50 mile plus antenna.

Well, I decided to see what was going on, so I registered. Gave my email address to one more damned advertiser who can sell it whenever they want to. And they don't even say they won't.

Then I find that I have to put my home address in my profile in order to get aiming information.

So I do that. The form has asterisks by the information it needs, and there are none by the street address, so I leave that blank. And I get an error message.

So far, then, I have given away my email address to an advertiser and have not gotten information they say they would give me. And it has just dawned on me, an installer, that this site won't be of much help when I install at clients' homes as I would have to go into my profile and change the address on it, then go look at the map, any time I want it to be helpful. So I'm going back to www.antennaweb.org. Thanks.
