I receive cable TV through a Motorola DCT 6416 III.

The remote for this unit is a Motorola DRC 800 4-in-1 universal remote.

Here is my problem:

I have a Yamaha RX-V596 AV Receiver. The guide for the remote has two Yamaha codes, which I tried, and the code 1176 for AMP/Tuners does turn the Yamaha receiver off and on, but does not adjust the volume.

Is there any way anyone can help me with this?

i just used 0176 to program my Yamaha rx-v361, it controls volume and sound options but doesn't turn it on and off.
