All the downloadable remote control files I have found so far, are for expensive remote controls like Philips etc.
I have found the following website that has a program that can be run on any laptop with a standard inbuilt infer red port and use it to learn and transmit remote control commands.
Since laptops are very common now and nearly all have an inbuilt infer red port, could this be the cheap way for loads of people who just need a few commands to multiregion or service menu hack their DVD machines?
Does anyone no of a better program / website than the following, also is there any way to convert other remote control files available on the internet in to a format the following website / program will work with?
The program / website is [Link: veg.nildram.co.uk]
A code file and example of a use for it is in the website below

The whole reason I ask all this is I am trying to get a service remote for a machine and its only available as a download on the internet for expensive universal remotes (can not buy the service remote in the UK).
It’s a
Sony Service remote J-6090-203-A
Also known as a
Pioneer service remote GGF1381
Below is a link to the file for the Pioneer service remote GGF1381 in a format I can not use, its also available in other formats on the internet and again not in a format I can use.

In another format

Any help would be much appreciated.
