have others found that PC software quite often corrupts set-up of Take Control?(you lose half the buttons for a device and have to reload them all and then put them back into the activities which they've disappeared from). Or is this a problem with my Take Control? (I've now started saving copies very regularly!)

any news of when a new (bug free) version may come out?

Yes ! I spent my first week refining the setup, only to lose the whole thing. After that I couldn't get the system to work the way I wanted again, until I sussed the problem.
If you only program the TC1000 exclusively with the software everything is OK. NEVER learn a new code, or delete devices etc on the remote first. Do it all with the software and it seems to remain stable. The only exception is adding a new device, which you have to do on the remote. Accept any manufaturer suggested if yours dosen't exist and then re-learn from the software. Don't use the TC1000's "skip" button if you must learn a device. This seems to cause problems when the data is merged.
All in all this is a real pain, but my solution is good. I've been stable for over two weeks, making almost daily changes, with no loss of buttons or settings !

Just to update you after the weekend, I was slightly concerned that my theory was not 100% correct, but....
I backed up my configuration last night and then re-learnt ONE button using the TC1000. One sync later and it's all gone crazy, so it looks as if I'm right...

Thank f*$! for backups !
