I am starting to have better luck getting this device programmed on my Pioneer Elite Surround sound system and Echostar Satellite system.

My echostar is a UHF...which I thought was an insurmountable problem, but in the echostar forum in dejanews, I found a hundred other people with the same problem, and sure enough, somebody had the smarts to post a fix on the site. I actually converted my receiver from a UHF only to a UHF/IR receiver. Unbelievable....the power of the web.

Now, I just need a week to figure out exactly how I want to program my IRIQ. There are so many different ways to set up the screens. I am most impressed. On the FAQ in the madrigal website, it states that the IRIQ cannot handle Pioneer Elite IR frequencies. I have found no problem programming the IRIQ for my Pioneer Elite devices.

To those having problems, I sympathize, and wish you luck....I am very happy that I was able to persevere thru all of the problems that I had.

If not CE, then what's it run? Certainly not not-CE. It ain't NT, 98, 95, 3.1, 2.0 or DOS fer sure.

It may not be the complete inmplementation of CE you'd see on a palm-top computer, but you can be sure it's a subset of CE. This is what CE was designed for. (At least if you believe Microsoft - it's what they said.)
