I am looking for the best suited remote to accomodate a few things, primarily I would like to be able to control both my PC and my home entertainment system with ONE remote. I relaize there are some solutions out there but, I am looking for a remote that will allow me to assign what keyboard commands I want to use within the remote control.

I would like this remote to control some consumer equipment such as Toshiba 60" TV, RCA stereo reciever, JVC VHS/DVD player. I realize there are several types of non proprietary options out there and it gets a little hazzy as to what is best suited for my scenerio.

Due to the type of software and application I am using, I believe I will also need to program the remote with some basic PC keyboard commands. I would rather go with a remote that has software provided to setup and program keyboard functions directly into the remote.

Now for the final pice of the puzzle, I am sure there may be something out there I was looking at the Logitech Harmony but it does not indicate if the remote will aloow for the user to program keyboard controls other than its proprietary options.

I also have a MSI Mega 865 unit, it works "sorta" with the MSI remote but its not ideal, I am also looking for some guideance in regards to commands used to control the LED display on the unit.
