Why hello there! It's my first day too! I posted on this forum today for the first time and it's almost addicting!
While I don't own an Infocus (and I've been looking at projectors so I'm envious) The top of the line Sunwave that I just got I know will control an Optoma DLP PJ. I've even seen the low end Sunwave do it along with X10. You will need some sort of infrared box to do the X10, but I'm just tickled with my Sunwave. I mentioned this a couple of posts ago, and the more I think of it, the more I should give kudos to Adam at Visually Sound. I was most impressed by his level of service and demonstration. To be able to try it out and get instruction and see it work, well, it seems like it's becoming a lost art!
I got mine at Visually Sound (vsavs.com) and could not be happier!

I don't know what you are talking about

-----------------

daygotires: what you are looking for

i hit one button it will turn on the projector .. open the drapes .. turn on the a/v recvier and dvd player , play the mvie after i put it in , then play the movie and start to lower the lights

are called macros, many remotes have them.

For the X10 you will either need an IR543 or IR543AH the AH can do any house code (a,b....p) but the IR543 can only use the house code you set on the box
the IR543 can do a1 on, a2 off (if set to a) or b1 on, b2 off (if set to b) but not a1 on, b2 off, while the IR543AH can do all three.

Even though you can send many dims from a remote, it is much better if you have better X10 equipment that can do scenes.

lastly, if you get a PC programmable remote you should be OK, but not all remotes have IR543 codes and even fewer the IR543AH
