Press and hold the “code search” button down until it is lit red. Then press one of your tv. vcd, cd buttons to set up for that specific type of device. Next hit the channel up ((for setting up a TV) or use the "Power" or "play" button for VCRs only). Hit that button until your device responds (for example, the TV will change channels). Here is they key, Immediately after it responds, hit the mute button to save that particular setting (be careful not to go so quickly that you pass up your settings). If some portions of the device do not work, you would have to start over and go past the one(s) that did not work correctly and wait for the device to respond again to another code. NOTE: In order to go through all codes, you would have to hit the button 300 times. good luck!

before you post, READ. You will more than likely find the answer in a previous post if you do so.

Hi, I also have the PMDVD6, it's also got the code CLO19 inside the battery compartment. In any event I went through the whole process of programming it to control everything and it works fine with all my equipment except my cable box, which is a Sony from Cablevision...This kills me because all though I hate to admit it, the cable box remote is probably the most important thing I need to control. There are no codes for a Sony cable box at all and the code search thing doesn't work either. On Long Island you either have a Scientific Atlanta box or a Sony...how could they have no codes for a Sony...why do they even sell it here??? I guess my question is that there's no chance that there might be a code floating around for the Sony box that someone would know of. Possibly it's not really a Sony code at all but made by someone else. Otherwise I think I'm just going to return the damn thing -- I mean I can't believe it works my Denon AVR 2500 which has always been the problem child of my equiptment in the past. I've thought about swithching to the Scientific Atlanta box which I've always liked better anyway, but my cable company says I have to have all Sony or all Sci Atl and I'm not going to switch all my IO boxes...that would be a project

First off, it's always better to start a new thread for a fresh topic, rather than hijack an old one, especially one that's nearly a year old. Anyway, if you do decide to get a new remote, get a "One For All" as most of their models have a code for the Sony cable box, which is CBL/1006.

The CL014 is NOT model PM335. 335 is radically different. Actually, PM335 looks like an older cheaper remote to me. Anyway, CL014 is a really cheap 6 device learning remote. The finish (on the top) is silver and it has the kind of shape where it's almost rectangular instead of that really blobby shape like the PM335 appears to have in the pictures I saw. Anyway, I have a CL014. Actually two of them since they worked so well, though one seems to eat batteries so quickly I don't use it so often after all. I lost my manual probably last year. I haven't had to reconfigure my TV or anything because of the code search, but, now I want to use the learn option to put in codes for something else, only I don't recall exactly how to do this. I googled and found this topic, however, the links are bad. The Gemini-USA no longer seems to exist, and if I use the internet archive I find only codes (for those who need these, look here: [Link: web.archive.org] ) It does explain how to put those codes in and everything as well, but, no mention of learning. I tried the Amazon link and just got a PDF page informing me that the manual is gone and then Adobe Acrobat froze my browser (guess that's what I get for using an adobe plugin.) I tried the Philips and Magnavox websites, but, practically no remotes at all are mentioned, and nothing like this certainly (they only admit to selling the really high end remoted -- the kinds that have LCDs with touch screens and crap like that for Bill Gates to use.) I'm guessing this remote isn't made anymore, but, it's just stupid for me to have to buy a new one just because I can't figure out how to teach it new commands. Besides, this is the only learning remote I've been able to ever find that cost so little. Does anyone at least have a real model number or something I can work with? I've been searching for hours and just can't seem to find it using simply the little sticker that says CL014 to go on... EDIT: Bah, sorry. I finally got the archive to load enough to find it on their site. Looks like the CL014 must be the PM625S. From what I understand, the manual for the PM625 applies to this one as well. You can find the manual for the PM625 on this site, here: [Link: remotecentral.com] (Sorry, it's a really long link...) The CL013 and CL015 would probably be the PM620G and the PM725S respectively to those who have those remotes (I'm just guessing since those are the two most immediately before and after mine on the list.) I wonder what happened to Gemini-USA anyway...

For the record the proper file for a Philips Magnavox CL015 (in the battery compartment) is PM310

Thanks for the tip. I have a CL 007. I have been searching for the code for awhile now. I tried your method and it worked like a charm. Thanks again

Does anyone have the PDF file listed by Microdoll? The link doesn't exist anymore and I can't find the codes for the CL014 remote. Any help is appreciated. Aaron
