Hello,

We are a french company working in electronics and software developpment.
One of our customers asked ourselves this day about a universal TV remote control.
His field of work is in plastic injection and one of his customers asked him about a remote control.
So he consulted us for the electronic part of the remote control.
We are looking for a single, cheap, efficient et convinient chip which could suit our needs.
The quantity of chips would be between 10,000 and 50,000 parts.
Nevertheless we have to give him an answer about feasibility before the end of the week.
We would like to build a simple european TV remote control in a first step (then maybe VCR, Sat, DVD in a second step)
But the price is the most important point of the feasibility study. the whole electronic part (including power management,
IR control and PCB must be less than 7 $).
It seems that you are a reference in the remote control applications. Your knowledge is very large.
Could you please help us to find the right chip for our application ?

Thank you for a quick reply,

Vincent Van den Wiele
