I have a problem. I Don't know how to get the
BIN codes from the remote. e.g. If I puss button
5, i want to now the BIM ore HEX code the remote
control is sending. I need the codes, so i can
program a microcontroler, to recive the signals.

I dosn't matter wich remote it is because

But i can tell you i'm using an HarmanKardon ezset
remote.

And i want to use the buttom called (VID3).
and use the "sub-commands".

I know alot about hex and binary codes, but I have no idea what sort of info you really need, therefore I have no idea how to help you.

hmm.. I will try agian :)

A remote Control send some data out if you push a buttom on it. The data the remote are sending out is binary codes. I need to capture those codes, so i can use them whem i'm programming my IR-reciver.

E.g: those codes are from an sony CD-remote controler

Hex code------------------Binary code
-------------------------------msb---------lsb
power = &HA91-----:-1010-1001-0001
play = &H4D1---------:-0100-1101-0001
stop = &H1D1--------:-0001-1101-0001
pause = &H9D1------:-1001-1101-0001
continue = &HB91--:-1011-1001-0001

I "just" need a way to get those codes.

the remote i have is an ezset from harman kardon. and i want to use the buttom (VID3) and the function under it.

Sorry my bad english I'm from Denmark sorry :P

I don't know what an H/K "ezset" remote is, but I'm assuming that it's the remote that comes with an audio receiver. If so, here's the binary for the VIDEO3 button for an AVR300:

00000001 00001110 01110011 10001100

This is NEC with device code 128, sub-device 112 and command code 206.

Ok. now i know that code. Thx

If I'm going to program the VID3 buttom to a Phillips TV, and i push the volume+ buttom, then the remote are sending binary codes out there match the Phillips volume+ buttom on the original Phillips remote.

But what is the binary code then for the volume+ and volume- and so on?

Aren't there a way how i can capture them or somthing? Maybe on a computer?

If you want to capture these codes yourself, you need to get a JP1 compatible learning remote and a JP1 cable, then you can see it all on your PC.

I can sell you a URC_8811 remote for $19, plus a cable for $15, with $9 shipping to Denmark.
