I have yet to find a code for the remote that came with my Yamaha HTR-5660 reciever that will work with my Samsung SIR75 DirecTv box. So I am now looking for a universal remote. Below is my list of equipment:
TV: Sony KV-36FV310
HT reciever: Yamaha HTR-5660
DVD: Panasonic F85
DirecTv Reciever: Samsung SIR-75
I am thinking about the MX-500, MX-600, MX-700 and the SST-659 but am open to suggestions

Generally speaking, the more you spend, the more you'll get; at least in the remotes you've mentioned.
There's plenty of information about these remotes on this website. look around and read the reviews and get back to us if you have any more specific questions.
