I have been researching a lot for the perfect remote for our store. Currently I use the Celadon Pic 200 remote, but they do not make them anymore.
Stuff I need the new remote to do:
1) Capture IR codes from remotes
2) Have Macro's with timers.
but I need to be able to stop the timers if I decide to cancel without using a pin to reset remote(is this possible with any remote? because we really need this)
3) I need it to be robust as we use one button 100+ times a day (to run our macro to start VCR's and DVD players and video switchers, etc... every 2 minutes)
Ok, so the above req's I need to be able to do... below is some req's we can do ourself if the remote cannot do them:
4) We hide the remote in a case and hard wire mutliple IR emitters to the Celadon we have, do any remotes out there come with an IR port (1/8" jack) or mutiple IR emmiters? (I know I can get in there and solder them in myself if need be) I also have a Xantect IR distribution amp thing I could use, but would rather not have another device hooked up)
5) If possible, has a port for an AC adapter to give it power (I know I can do this myself)
6) Would also like to hard wire to 2 buttons so I can use my own button to activate the button on the remote (once again I can go in a solder this if need be)
wow, now that I am done... any idea's out there? looks like a pronto most likely... but I would love your suggestions... if you have any questions email me at :
