I bought this at Best Buy for $89 , so far I love it. It has been easy to setup to control all things except my Mitsubishi 55". When I point the TV remote at the Learn sensor it always give learning error, I had no simular trouble with other devices remotes, only this TV remote. And yes you are thinking low batteries but I put new ones in the TV remote and still the RCA refuses to accept the remote codes. Also it errors almost immediatly after I hit the remote key that I am trying to memorize, so is there something the RCA doesn't like that it is seeing.
Out of the 8 or 9 codes for my TV that worked for a power off test. Only 3 worked, I have tried switching to all 3 to see if the RCA would then accept the signals from the TV remote, but still getting the same results , a very quick learning error.

I know of no one who'll pay $90 for an RCA remote, you're probably on your own on this.

LOL, great :( It has some nice features and seems to work well enough for what I need. I just can't figure out way it refuses to learn my TV commands.
Is there any issues with learning remotes that have trouble sensing the IR signal when holding down a button and the sending remote doesn't repeat the signal?

I had not tried these tips, I did however try them but still no help. Thanks for the tip though. I just think the RCU1010 needs some more work on learning remote codes. It may have to do with the fact that I am trying to learn default commands from other universal remotes? The main 2 remotes giving me trouble are from Sony and Mitsubishi and they are learning remotes that came with my Reciever and my TV. So I guess I am going to take the RCU1010 back.
Any suggestion for a better chioce of universal remote that should be able to learn all of my other remote commands?

The RCA might have been out of memory. Before trying to learn the Mits and Sony, had you already taught alot of commands? My remote of choice is the HTM mx-500, it will not run out of memory.

Nope I had only learned about 6 or 7 buttons from my Dish remote.
I am looking at the MX-500 as my first choice now.
Thanks for your assistance! :)

I'd second edmund's recommendation of an MX-500. Good price, excellent features and rave reviews.
