I stepped on my TIVO remote and it is thrashed. Can anyone give me specific instructions to help me get my universal programmed? I have looked everywhere and all I can find is that it can be done......please help.

Thanks in advance and feel free to email direct.

There is a code for the Philips/Hughes tivos, it's VCR0635. Any other brand of tivo you would need to teach it the codes from your oem remote, which you don't have, so your out of luck. Of course you could go the JP1 route, but I'll leave that up to others to explain.

Unless you borrow a remote from someone else to teach your remote, you can't.
