Hi

I am trying to find a remote to replace the one I have for my Electrohome VCR as it broken. I have tried a couple remote, the first could not bring up my on screen menu. I then got a Jensen Jr300, this remote could work my on screen display, but had another problem. After I have programmed the channels etc that I want to record I could not find a function on the remote that worked the same way as the timer record button on my old remote. The old remote also has a few other buttons (speed, tracking and call ( this showed on the screen the time channel and tape speed). Can anyone advise me as to which remote is best for me, I do not want to spend a lot of money but need to replace my broken remote.

Try the OneForAll URC6012w, about $15 at Wal-Mart. The functions that may not initially be assigned to buttons when you assign the device code can be added later using "advanced codes". Should do everything your original can. If you have any programming questions later, just post again.
