I have a Lowes house brand (I forget the actual brand name) ceiling fan which comes with a remote. I bought an RCU810 a couple of months ago and tried to program it to control the fan by learning from the fan remote, but it gave me some sort of error that it could not learn it. Should this sort of thing work? Does it matter what device I try to have it learn it at?
