I want to load Sony's code. (1002)

I have 2 Universal RCA Remote Controller (both came with Directv Systems), one is of the first ones, the newest one has the Ch+ Ch- keypad green colored.

The old one, no problems. The new one, as soon as I press the number one, the led blinks giving error. I got a second new remote and it does the same.

Do you know if they changed the way to load the code to these new remotes???

If so, what is it?

I do the following steps to load the code on:

Press TV button and hold it down

Press 1, 0, 0, 2 and release

Now, I control the TV.

Please email me your suggestions // new way to load codes at [email protected]

Thank you!

It sounds like you might have a RCA TV oem remote, that also does Directv. But only controls RCA,GE,and Proscan Tv's. Does it have the Directv logo on it?

I am looking at the 3 right now (old vs 2 new ones). The old that came with the Directv system, on the button below TV says Directv.

The 2 new ones say Sat-Cable, ummmm, you're right. These must be TV OEM remotes. I will change them right away.

Thank you Edmund.
