I just got a Sylvania 32" TV with v-chip. And according to Sylvania (over the phone), theier new TVs have almost imposible Universal Remote compatibility. I have a Dish Network 301 with Dish's Universal 4 device remote, but the only code I can get to work the TV, has only limited functions like Channel and Volume. The TV/Video input button does not work, niether does the channel return and the Mute button puts the TV into a Tech factory mode and disables the TV and stock TV remote until I power off/on at the TV. So it looks like I am out of luck with the Dish Network universal remote. Does any one know of a $50 or less universal remote that may have a good chance of controlling this new Sylvania TV and a Dish Network 301 reciever? THanks.

Was just thinking. Maybe I should try out a learning/universal remote. I found some for $10-$30. I just want one descent remote with all the Dish controls and TV controls, and soon DVD and VCR controls.

the RS 2116, and OFA 8811 (WW 8010W)and 8910 are all learners and should handle those devices nicely.
