I had the All in One, and it worked great for awhile, but with several new components, I'm loooking for something better.

Here are the components I have:
Toshiba 42HDX82 Wide Screen TV
Toshiba Dual DVD Player
Explorer 8000 Recorder Cable Box
Generic VCR

So, what would you recommend?

I'm looking for something under $200.

Thanks

I think it depends on what you like, what are you looking for in the remote?

Under 200$

Harmony: [Link: remotecentral.com]

Pronto NEO: (there is no review, but there is a forum)

Pronto: used you can find it for less then 200 new it is a bit more, but if you want a touchscreen and one that can be customized 100% it is the best [Link: remotecentral.com]

HTM MX-500: [Link: remotecentral.com]

Something that will be easy to setup to work with all of my components. Use all of the features on those components--record on the cable box, pip, swithc inputs, etc. And be easy enough for my wife to use it.

The Pronto and Neo are not easy to setup (if you want something good and custom)

The Harmony is easy to setup (but you need a PC and web), if you don't mess around with XML (forcing it to do more then it was designed to do) it basically goes
1) setup devices (and the library grows with each user), I did not need to do any learning for my setup (pick device,/model)
2) setup activities (watch TV....) it asks you questions to help it with the setup (what should it use to change channels, what do you use for sound, what channels do you want....)

then when you use the remote all you do is pick the activity.

- also you can download the TV listings to it, so instead of saying I want to watch channel X you say I want to watch show Y (actually you can use it either way)

I have never setup a 500, but all the setup is done on the remote, and from what I heard it is a simple point and learn. It does not have a lot built in codes, so you might end up doing a lot of learning.
