I am pretty much out of places to look, including the manufacturer's web site, so I'm hoping that maybe one of the members of this forum can help. I received a new remote for my Scientific Atlanta 2000 cable box. However, it turns out that it's NOT manufactured by them. Instead, it is manufactured by a company called Thad Industries, model number THAD-2003. This company evidently makes replacement and less-expensive "work-alike" remotes for cable companies like Cox, Charter, and my cable company, Knology.
Here's the rub: they didn't include a manual so that I could program it. The cable company had a dedicated channel to help program boxes and remotes, but this model remote wasn't covered, and now they have even removed the help channel! There are NO sites on the web that cover this particular remote. The very few sites that cover remotes from this company only cover the THAD-2000 remote. This remote is very similar, but different in how it is programmed as its buttons differ slightly. The manufacturer's web site only shows the THAD-2000 as well and doesn't even cover programming it. To top everything off, the cable company doesn't know how to program it or even have manuals for this remote or our new keyboard (luckily that one didn't require any programming!).
If there is ANYONE out there who has a manual for this remote (THAD-2003) and is willing to provide programming instructions and codes or email a scan of the manual I would greatly appreciate it. Many thanks in advance for any assistance provided.
