I have a Sony RM-VL900, and need to get the codes for my cable box, Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3100. I already tried the codes in the users manual (009, 010, 011) without success.

You first need to do is change cbl/sat key from satellite to cable. see page 32, then the codes should work.
