I have just purchased a Marantz SR-7200, which came with the RC-1200 remote. I have programmed in most of my remotes with no problems, with the following exceptions:

The volume up/down control the amp's volume when the remote is AMP/CD/DVD mode, but not in TV mode. Without a second intermediatery learning remote, how can I program the volume controls in TV mode to control the amp's power?

Secondly, my VCR's FF and REW buttons act differently if you press and hold, or press and release. A quick press and release, and the tape will continue FF'ing until PLAY is pressed. A press and hold will FF only until the button is release. How can I replicate this behaviour on the RC-1200?

Further to this, any of the learned commands only seem to be single press. I have so far been unable to program any commands to act as a press and hold.

Any solutions, ideas, or pointers to better documentation than what came with the amp would be much appreciated!

Well, I have managed to program the Vol +/- buttons on the TV selection by first programming the amp volume controls onto OmniRemote on my PalmV.

Curiously, the button does continue transmitting whilst holding it down. Possibly this is a feature of the individual button, and not the way it has been programmed?
