Hi

Im looking for a universal remote supporting an old beolink1000 remote.
I have heard that B&O don’t use the usual frequencies in their remotes
Any suggestions?
I’m considering a Philips SBCRU880 or a Sony RMVL900 but I can’t find any compatibility doc. For them. Can they work with a Beolink 1000?

Thanx

Does that mean they use frequencies in the RF spectrum? If so, that's gonna make the major determining factor. If it uses IR, many "universals" may fit the bill.

James: no they are IR, but they are at a very high range, like 450kh or something.

funtex: there are a few remotes that can handle it, but I don't think any of the ones you mention. I know the Pronto can, and that is barely. [Link: remotecentral.com]

i saw a post at JP-1 that suggested that the UEIC remotes can handle up to somewhere like 455KHz. You could maybe take your original remote into a Radio Shack outlet and see if a learning model can learn the frequencies/signals. If a 2104, for example, can, then I'd think any of the UEIC leaners (1994,8811,8910, etc) could also, they have the same processor, eeproms, etc. so there'd be little different in capability between them. You may get away with the same "test" at a best buy or something similar in your area that mite handle the ofa line. I can't see why they wouldn't let you do this simple test, beats buying and returning.
